3 Tips on How To Wear the Color Basil Green

3 Tips on How To Wear the Color Basil Green

Basil is a grayed-green that is calming and soothing, a borrowed color from nature yet has its own uniqueness.

Pantone’s sweet and savory basil green emanates health and wellness.

I've worked with hundreds of women to determine what are their most flattering colors. And I have found personally, that many women are in the two camps when it comes to the color green.

They love green or they don’t. Very black and white. Or they tend to pass over the color and have never experimented with the color green.

But did you know that people who like green people are usually stable, balanced types? You are a good citizen, a concerned parent, and a loyal friend, according to Leatrice Eiseman, author of More Alive With Color.

You are intelligent and understand new concepts.

Let's chat about the 3 ways you can incorporate basil green (or your favorite green) into your existing wardrobe and personal style.

1. ”Try On” Your Eye Color

  • The first thing I want you to do is to look at your eye color.

  • Do you have a speckle of green in your eye color? If you do, I really encourage you to try on a shade of green.

  • Did you know that when your ‘eyes pop’ you are perceived as a trustworthy person? I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Your eyes are the window to your soul.”

  • If you prefer brighter tones vs. grayed or muted tones, consider emerald-green.

2. Add Green in a Small Simple Way

  • Think about adding the color basil or emerald in a beautiful scarf with your classic white blouse.

  • Combine a beautiful silk shell in basil green with your navy or camel neutrals.

  • How about a fun floral green cotton top for spring and summer?

3. Become Aware of How Green Makes You Feel

  • Basil is a very soothing shade of green – it’s calming and inviting.

  • Green is considered balanced and stable. Don’t forget, green has a personality.

  • It doesn’t cost you a thing to try on a beautiful basil green shell, just for fun.

  • If I’m not mistaken, I believe green is Oprah’s favorite color.

It's OK to Break the Covid Style Rules

What are a few of the Covid Style Rules?

  • It's not important to dress up.

  • No one cares.

  • Wear the same thing to work as you do on your off hours.

You may have found that wearing the same thing day in and day out can get very stagnet.

Try on your BEST self!!

Enjoy!

Style It RED

Happy February! It’s the month of love, passion and Valentine’s Day! Are you a woman who loves to wear a flicker, bonfire, or forest fire of RED?

2020 Color of the Year
2020 color of the year 1.PNG

Color has always been a fascinating subject to me. It's not just blue, it's what blue represents.

It's how people respond to the color.

It's how you feel when you wear certain colors. How it brings out your natural coloring. The compliments you receive.

Interesting enough, I've had quite of few clients recently sharing that building trust with their personal brand and/or company is very important to them.

The color of the year is not a random selection. The selection process requires a very thoughtful process and trend analysis.

To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s color experts at the Pantone Color Institute comb the world looking for new color influences.

This can include the entertainment industry and films in production, traveling art collections and new artists, fashion, all areas of design, popular travel destinations, as well as new lifestyles, technology and socio-economic conditions.

A timeless and enduring blue hue, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity.

Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue highlight our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

Imprinted in our psyches as a restful color, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge.

Have you ever thought about having a color consultation to discover what are your most flattering colors?

If not, think about it. It's a gift to be able to focus in on your BEST colors as well as helping you build a simple and streamlined wardrobe.

OK is NOT OK

There's a commercial on TV right now where a patient is in the hospital and asks the nurse what do you think of the Dr. that's going to operate on me and she says, he's OK.

The look on the patients face is priceless. Like what? What do you mean the Dr. is just OK?

Who wants a Dr. who is just OK, you want the best, right?

Is that how you're feeling about your wardrobe? It's OK. It's fine. I look OK.

If that works for you, wonderful. You probably don't need to read any further.

Or, is your personal style beginning to affect your self confidence when you walk into a room?

Years ago I took the Strength Finders assessment and it told me my #1 Strength was the Maximizer. (something you may not know about me...I LOVE self discovery)

Excellence, not average, is your measure. You are compelled to nurture it, refine it and stretch it toward excellence. You polish the pearl until it shines. I remember thinking, OMG that is what I do, I'm the Maximizer. .

Helping women Elevate their Image is what I do best.

It's not just what I do, but it's my passion to help women show up dressed oozing excellence instead of just OK. Never apologizing.

You may be thinking about the Reveal Your Radiance Style Academy and wondering, do I really need that program? Or is my wardrobe just OK the way it is?

What Do You LOVE About Your Personal Style?

February, the month of LOVE! And Beyond.

Valentine’s Day can represent many things – a romantic dinner with your partner, celebrating with a gal pal or time with loved ones. Why can’t this continue past February?

Sometimes we neglect to notice what we LOVE about ourselves or at least recognize.

About 6 months ago I retook the DISC assessment. I was in a transformational coaching program at the time where our strengths were being discussed and how we were using them.

What actualized completely surprised me. I was in the 97% of I style (Influence). It revealed to me that I should be making stronger use of my communication and people skills. Utilizing my energy of inspiration, passion and wisdom in a more influential way. Letting my Fire shine brighter.

I became aware that I was moving a strength of mine to the rear vs the forefront.

I thought, why am I doing that?

The first truth that came out; what will others think of me if I shine brighter? What I came to understand is that we as humans judge. That is just what we do. You’re judging my article as you are readying this and I am judging the next person on Facebook, lol. Good, bad, indifferent, it just doesn’t matter. We’re human beings and our brains can’t help but judge.

You may be thinking ONLY metals judge. Well maybe we Metals do have a little more tendency to judge. But I would guess that 99% of you out there worry about what others think also, am I right?

As we all go through the Fashion Feng Shui process of evaluating who am I and discovering our essence, I believe we can very much have a blind spot.

Why is it so darn hard to see what we LOVE about ourselves when various assessments and people point it out so blatantly?

With that being said, I proposed to my Definitive Style community an exercise.  To candidly observe what they LOVE in their wardrobe.

So of course I needed to do the exercise myself. Again, I was actually surprised with the results.

I hope you’ll play the game with me. Take out a piece of paper and sketch out a tic-tac-toe board. In the middle square write: "What I Love"

Tic-Tac-Toe-Board-letter.jpg
  1. Step into your closet or jewelry box and choose 5-10 pieces that You LOVE.

  2. Set them out on a table and begin writing the qualities that you LOVE about them.

  3. Read the qualities out loud…do they resonate with you?

  4. If someone was to describe you with these words, would you feel flattered?

  5. Do you unequivocally say yes, that's me?

  6. Do any of words give you butterflies?

  7. Are you ready to shake hands with the words and own them?

  8. Are you ready to stretch a bit in 2019 and take on the butterfly words?

As you look at your words, do they fit into a nice box of your primary and influencing essence? Or are they outside the box more than you think?

123654.PNG

What surprised me was how I described my favorite accessories, they were 50% Fire. The power was in writing the words down. I didn’t perceive myself as having that much Fire in my wardrobe and then realizing they were my favorite pieces.  I LOVE continuing to learn about myself while honoring my strengths.

2019-02-13_16.56.21001.jpg

Fire, of course that’s part of me…my favorite color is fuchsia and I love pearls.

What I do know is my navy sheath dress that fits me to a tee (metal) is my foundation and feels perfect for me but I love the luminosity and warmth of adding Fire.

The first step is becoming aware.

What are your blind spots?

What have others told you you’re really good at and you unconsciously ignore?

What words from the tic-tac-toe exercise made you think a new thought?

Whether your essence is Water, Wood, Fire, Earth or Metal there is nothing more powerful than showing up and radiating as the real you!

Dressing Up Denim
dressing up denim.png

You’ve been invited to a party. The invitation calls for dressy casual. You have both dressy outfits and casual outfits in your closet but how do you mix the two?

Would you be surprised if I suggested you start with jeans? Jeans aren’t right for every occasion, but with some fashion finesse, you can make them party ready.

Pretend I’m in your closet right now. Using your jeans as a base, I’m going to help you look through your tops, jackets, jewelry, shoes, and handbags for ingredients that will make you party-ready.

When you see your wardrobe through my eyes, you’ll be surprised at how ready you can be when that friend of yours calls and says, “I’m going to a dressy casual event tonight. Would you be my plus-one?”

It all starts with the right jeans

Here are some general rules for the best jeans to use as your casual chic or elegant casual outfit.

1. The darker the denim, the more dressy and formal it is, which works well with the fancier items you’ll be wearing on top.

2. If your party leans more to casual than elegant and you love jeans that are distressed in some way—holes or fading—plan to wear a dressy shoe.

3. High-rise jeans are a great base. They’ll look great with any fanciful top or jacket.

4. You could start with a denim jean that is coated, so it takes on a different hue. Or consider a jean with some elegant embroidery.

5. Beware: dark indigo jeans can discolor lighter-colored leather handbags. Pay close attention to your handbag selection for the night. They can also stain any part of a lighter-colored bootie that they come into contact with.

Find unique jackets in your closet

Now let’s get to what you’re wearing on top. Jackets can play a crucial role in dressing up jeans. Leave your work jackets out of the mix for now. Focus on more festive choices and think outside the box.

This list of jacket styles will love to dress up your denim.

1. Blazers in velvet, leather, lace or jacquard prints

2. A tuxedo jacket

3. Knit or woven jackets with fur trim

4. Statement pieces like kimonos, dusters, Asian-inspired jackets

3 jackets.PNG

Tops that are just right for going out

Look at your tops through a ‘dressed up casual’ lens. Do you spot tops that you may have worn in other parts of your life, but that would look well accessorized for denim outfits?

Here are some looks to consider.

1. Blouses with statement sleeves like ruffles, ties, pleats, or ribbons

2. Romantic blouses with lace, leather trim or velvet

3. A knit or woven or top in a bold, bright print

4. A sheer print top with a camisole

5. A sweater with pearl or sequined details, or a cashmere sweater that is delicate or feminine

holiday tops

Jewelry selection is a must

If you’re wearing simple clothing pieces, then your jewelry choices will lift your outfit into a dressy casual party scene. Go beyond your tried-and-true everyday pieces. Consider vintage or crystal jewelry or any of your fine jewelry like diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and pearls.

If you’re wearing tops that are already sequined or jeweled, then your jewelry may need to back off a little.

Here are some ideas for using accessories to make your outfit sparkle and shine.

1. Chandelier earrings or dangly earrings

2. Statement necklaces or double or triple layered chokers

3. A sparkly brooch or a collection of pins worn together

4. Bold cocktail rings

5. Cuffs or layered bangles that have lots of shimmer and shine

6. Mixing in fine jewelry with costume jewelry

holiday earrings

Shoes matter, both functionally and fashionably

You may have shoes in your closet that will only work if you’re sitting at a table, rather than standing at a table all night. Be careful. Know with a two-hour shoe will work or whether or not you need to wear a shoe that you can dance in all night long.

Here are some shoe choices for nightlife.

1. High heels or kitten-heeled pumps in patent leather, exciting colors, or fabrics

2. Comfortable flats that have fanciful details like bows, sequins, ribbons, or applique

3. Metallic flats or booties

4. Velvet slippers, flats or booties

5. Heeled sandals

fanciful shoes

Handbags need to be a lot more special than your work bag

For many gatherings, the purse you choose only needs to hold your lipstick, a credit card, some cash, and your smartphone. You may have cocktail handbags that you’ve used for years. I encourage you to take a closer look at them this year. Do they still look viable or does yours need an update?

Here are some handbag selections for your jean party outfit.

1. Smaller crossbody bag with chain straps

2. Fabric bags made with beautiful tapestry or damask fabrics

3. Small framed bags including vintage bags

4. A small handbag in an intense color or a metallic

5. Hard, rather than soft, clutch in faux reptile

evening bags

Could you use a few fancy casual denim outfits in your wardrobe?

I’d love to help you assemble them, so you are party ready at any moment. Or maybe you’ve realized some gaps in the “party department” of your wardrobe.

How ONE Missing Piece Transformed My Style Instantly!
one missing piece.png

Nicer weather is tip-toeing in Seattle.  And if you're like me, you're craving a few new pieces to update your summer wardrobe.

A few of the questions I hear a lot, "I want to add more uniqueness to my wardrobe."

I look in the mirror and feel like something is missing?

How do I create a put-together look?

If you shook your head and are thinking, yes that's me, help!

You're not alone.

With the warmer weather upon us, I've had a personal "missing piece" dilemma myself.

You're about to witness how I turned my ONE new purchase into a treasure of outfits.

Do you tend to focus your clothing purchases primarily on "work clothes" and don't always want to spend the money on weekend clothes - am I right?

Hey, I do the same thing.

I've noticed is my summer lifestyle can be a little more casual.  And recognizing that certain pieces are missing.

With the weather changing here in Seattle to around 60-70 degrees, one doesn't necessarily need a coat, just an easy-going jacket to throw on.

One of my favorite pieces to wear and purchase is a classy, luscious, stylish jacket. I love how a jacket can give an outfit instant polish! And adds that tad of warmth you're looking for.

I'M a simple kind of gal, and a great jacket adds that "exquisiteness" to my simple pants, skirts and tops.

What I was encountering every time I put on my jeans, that "easy-going" casual jacket was missing that I so adore.

It was absent from my closet.

Only to find out the next time I'm trying to execute my dressed-up casual look, I'm back to the same frustration. Where's the jacket I NEED!

Are you ready for what I found?

20180606_105005_resized.jpg

What's so cool about this ONE new piece is it solved a multitude of my summer wardrobe dilemmas.

What attracted me to this jacket: Simple and effortless, and the RED pizzazz!

20180606_105505_resized.jpg
20180606_105210_resized.jpg
  • I value comfort when I'm dressing casual - the lycra in the fabric allows me to move.

  • It was simple and solid - that meant I could add it to all my prints.

  • LOVED the Red - fun and passionate for summer.

  • It dresses up my skorts and jeans. Remember I like dressed-up casual.

  • I can wear it with my white, black and navy jeans.

  • I can pair it with my black, white and navy tops.

  • I reluctantly paired it with my lonely floral shell that's been hanging around my closet for 5 years. Guess what, it looks great with the RED jacket.

  • And, the most fun - wearing RED lipstick.

I've been attracted to RED from the beginning of 2018. It started when I declared my 2018 words - Bold Commitment.

2018-06-06_13.31.38.jpg

1. This RED jacket has put the lid on the "missing piece" ... at least for the time being until another missing piece manifests itself.

2. The RED jacket provides my casual summer wardrobe with a put-together look!

3. I've never had a fun casual RED jacket ... Love the uniqueness it's adding to my flourishing dressed-up casual wardrobe.

20180606_180603_resized.jpg

Imagine... the outfits that I could create if I found a few more missing pieces.

If you're feeling like you have some missing pieces in your closet, let's hope on a quick phone call and find out how we can transform your wardrobe by filling in the missing gaps.

Spring Colors Have Arrived

Spring is upon us...Spring 2018 Pantone Colors have arrived...

Color is one of the easiest, more fun ways to spice up last years wardrobe. Simply going from black to navy can add a new dimension. Can you image if you added Lime Punch or Spring Crocus to your navy - wow, wow wow!

An energetic energy is attached to color and it makes you feel something. Recently when I was teaching a workshop one of the attendees shared that she was playing with her profile picture on a dating website - going back and forth from black to red. RED definitely gave her more pings. Of coarse it did - Red donates passion and excitement.

Do you need guidance and direction in taking your image to the next level?

If you answered YES, you're going to LOVE what I have to share with you.

Super excited to introduce you to a NEW Service I am launching.

BOND DSC_4933.jpg

90-Minute Styling Session

You may be thinking ONLY 90 minutes. What can we get done in 90 minutes...A LOT!

What I'm hearing from many women is they waste a lot of mental energy pondering - does this look good?

Standing if front of the mirror with self-doubt and confusion...Is it my color? Do I look old? Do I look fat? Is it appropriate for the situation? Is it too young looking? Should I buy this? Does it fit me? I just bought this, should I keep it?

Looking in you're closet and wondering...Is this dress length right for my height? What shoes should I wear with this dress? Where do I buy comfortable shoes? How do I mix and match this great blouse I bought?

Your 90-Minute Styling Session is about focusing on whatever is robbing your mental energy.

Not too long ago I had a friend tell me that I am like a fairy godmother. In my mind, I'm thinking, "I'm not sure I really know what a fairy godmother does." I asked her to explain.

She said, "You look at people and see who they truly are and what their full potential can be. When you speak about their potential it is so warm and inviting that people put down their walls of defense and for a moment, they too can see their potential. Thus, the reason I call you a fairy godmother."

I thought, Wow! Really? So much of the time it's hard to see "our own gifts and strengths."

The 90-Minute Style Session allows me to be your fairy godmother, helping you to BE the best version of you.

What You Can Expect During A 90-Minute STYLING Session

Dedicated attention to your burning style questions. This is your time for validation and honest feedback from an image expert.

Come prepared with your list of questions, pictures of you in outfits, clothing pieces, shoes, accessories, color questions, whatever is robbing your mental energy.

During the session, I'll ask questions that help me better understand your vision and who you are as a person. This is your 90-minutes and we will use the time in whatever way is going to get you closer to achieving Style Confidence.

This session can be held virtually or in-person at Annette's home office in Sammamish, WA.

It's a small investment toward Style Confidence...$249

If you're a entrepreneurial business woman, this 90-Minute Style Coaching Session can be a tax deduction (as with all my services) or you may have a professional budget with your company.

My promise to you: Revealing Your Radiance.

Your Style Makes a Statement. Make it Definitive.

STRONG, DYNAMIC & VISIBLE PERSONAL STYLE

As I was contemplating what I wanted to share this week I had a strong pull toward encouraging you to claim your style message. Maybe you've never thought about a style message? You just get dressed in the morning and that is that.

In the Annette Bond world, I am passionate about showing up intentionally. Our clothing tells a story. Is your outfit telling the right story?

On December 2, 2017, I was sitting in my comfy chair brainstorming a title for an upcoming speaking engagement. It occurred to me, I had a mish-mash of great one-liner titles but was super confused on what was appropriate. At that moment, "I said enough is enough."

I needed a marketing message that I could count on, the message needed to be purposeful and effortless. I'd reached the tipping point where I was tired of wasting mental energy deciding what that one great message was.

Feeling like a hot mess with so many messages, I decided to get help. I was tired of muddling in my sea of words for the last 7 years. I had some good stuff, but I knew I needed help refining what I had.

As this feeling came over me, I couldn't help but think how you must feel {{ subscriber.first_name }}. A closet full of clothes with numerous style messages. Wondering is this the right style, color, silhouette or print, am I right?

I admit, I feel your pain, instead of a closet full of clothes I have documents full of words and titles.

Over the last 3 months I have been working with a brand strategist, Peg Marckworth of Marckworth Associates to clarify and claim my marketing message. OMG, I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to have a confidant to guide and lead me to my clarity. I believe clarity is power.

One of the biggest questions you have to ask yourself whether you are claiming a style message or branding message is: Who are you? What makes you tick? How do you define You?

Recently, I had a conversation with a woman who said she wasn't happy with her job and then came back and said, I think it's the clothing I have to wear."

Developing a style strategy will help you align with the company you represent while honoring your authentic self.

Have you asked yourself lately... how is my style influencing how others perceive me? Is my style a mystery? Am I wasting a lot of mental energy every morning deciding what to wear?

Are you ready to have a style message that says, "Strong, Dynamic, Visible?"

My marketing message is still developing but what I know for sure... Definitive Style gives you the tools to reveal Style Confidence that has purpose, ease and significance.

TIP #1 To reveal Style Confidence, begin with a little black dress that you may already have in your closet or another great neutral such as navy, beige or gray.

_101009654.jpg
_102203094.jpg

TIP #2 Take a picture of yourself. Pictures give us an objective opinion than we sometimes need. How does it fit? How about the length - do you have great legs that you're covering up? Does the neckline flatter your face? Does it flatter your waist?

TIP #3 Add a 2nd or 3rd piece that defines YOU! An accessory...big earrings? Statement necklace? Fabulous scarf? Sassy shoes? Pearls?

TIP #4 Step into your Style Confidence with purpose, ease and significance!

Ultra Violet - 2018 Pantone Color of the Year

For those of you who follow color trends, waiting for the BIG announcement from Pantone Color to declare the upcoming color of the year is a big deal.

So drum roll please...2018 Color of the Year is:

2018 .2.PNG

About the Pantone Color of the Year

“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute.

2018 .1.PNG

What I enjoy most about color is it brings energy to every party.

Color always brings about conversation.

So with that being said, What do you think about the NEW Ultra Violet?

There is not a doubt in my mind that Ultra Violet will bring intriguing conversation.

From my personal color experience, purple in it self always brings up interesting thoughts and feelings for people. Huskies vs. Cougs?

The good news is whether you LOVE the color or reject the color, you will see Ultra Violet in various schemes - designers takes on their own interpretation of the color whether they deepen or lighten the hue or just plain change it to their own liking.

If you're not sure about Ultra Violet - try it on for size. Give it a whirl in the dressing room.

Staying current and relevant each season is a question I am asked over and over. Adding a New Color to your wardrobe is one of the simplest and transforming ways to refresh an outfit.

Not just adding a new color but combining it in a new way.

This is your opportunity to begin thinking how might you incorporate an element of Ultra Violet to your wardrobe as we enter into 2018.

Keep in mind Ultra Violet could be the outfit itself or an element of the color such as a handbag or fabulous pair of shoes.

5 TIPS to Express RED in Your Fall Wardrobe

I hope you enjoyed your summer as much as I have. I've went golfing, kayaking, and biking, and having a blast in summer fun clothing.

The stores are readily changing over into fall clothing so if you're looking for some great summer sales, now is the time.

For those of you who are ready to step into the new season and the lusciousness of fall clothing - have you thought about what you might add? I l believe in being intentional. Having a plan and clarity can take your shopping experience from overwhelm to enjoyable.

When transitioning into a new season, I like to think about what worked well last year or maybe what do you wish you had or felt was missing?

Maybe it's a new silhouette, a new neutral or accent color, additional accessories? I know many of my clients are enjoying the addition of navy with so many years of all black.

For Fall, I would like to introduce you to Grenadine, one of Pantone's Top 10 Colors for Fall. Grenadine, an off-shoot of the RED family is definitely trending. You will see many varieties of Grenadine... blue reds, some a little more burgundy and possibly a little amber.

RED positively gets you noticed when you walk into a room. It attracts others to you without saying a word. Want to captivate an audience instantly - wear RED.

5 TIPS To Elevate & Express RED in Your 2017 Fall Wardrobe!

Tip #1

RED can be a powerful non-verbal color. Have you ever thought of using Color as a tool? You can express yourself just by wearing a particular color. Color carries with it a universal symbol.

RED: Exciting, energizing, sexy, passionate, powerful, courageous, assertive, adventurous, motivating

BRICK RED: Earthy, warm, strong, sturdy, established

DEEP RED: Rich, elegant, refined, expensive, mature, luxurious, robust

Tip #2

A Skirt Or Blouse is a great way to add a pop of RED. The skirt becomes the focal point of your outfit. The blouse becomes the accent to your neutral jacket or pant.

Tip #3

Don't forget that RED pairs beautifully with many neutral shades such as black, charcoal, navy, camel, deep greens or taupe to name a few.

Tip #4

Not a huge fan of Red? Add one RED accessory with your neutral outfit.

Do You Feel Like You Need a New Wardrobe?

I was at Tempo and Nordstrom in Bellevue, WA this week picking up spring clothing to showcase at my speaking engagement for the Overlake Hospital Auxiliary group.

I think I am like a kid in a toy store loving all the new colors, styles and accessories that are out for spring.

One of the tips I will be shared with the ladies is, what do you have in your closet from last year (that is last spring) that really worked for you? Vs. feeling like you need an entire new wardrobe.

A piece that you felt confident in.

Maybe you received a lot of compliments.

It fit really well.

It became a great go-to-piece.

Maybe it was a great pair of pants or sweater.

Pull a piece from your closet and ask yourself, how can I refresh this piece with a new color, an accessory, or what do I need to add to give it that Spring 2017 current feel?

Check, Stripes, Floral, Stripe & Floral mixed, Check and Floral mixed - Have FUN with your new spring pieces.

Confidence - begin with a wardrobe piece that you already feel confident in.

ONE piece- take ONE piece and add your uniqueness.

If you've thought about the two of us working together in the past and know it's your time....

I am planning a small intimate Fashion Feng Shui hands on training session at my home in Sammamish, WA for 8 magnificent ladies who truly desire to Reveal Your Radiance. I'm excited to announce that I have set a date for this one-of-a-kind workshop.

If you would like to be considered for one of the 8 spots, let me know below.

The date will be Saturday, May 20th from 10-3pm.

Shopping With Hannah, Client Case Study

Just before Christmas Hannah and I met for our shopping session.

Main areas I help my clients with:

Align your personal image with the "real you" - what are your best colors, styles for your body type, personality, lifestyle and does it fit properly.

BEFORE PICTURE

BEFORE PICTURE

One of my goals was to work on proportion. Hannah has an "inverted triangle" body shape and is 5'4".

Tip! The circle skirt gave her movement and the fabric was super comfortable - aspects that are important to Hannah.

Tip! The circle skirt is a nice balance to her shoulders and showed off her toned athletic legs.

Tip! The peplum top gave balance to her hips and smoothed over her stomach area nicely.

Tip! The monochromatic of navy and white gave her an elongated look. She will be adding navy tights and black shoes.

CirCLE SKIRT

Hannah:

I am halfway through the Signature Program and have already transformed how I think about "style", as well as how I look and feel.
Now, every day I easily apply what Annette has taught me using style as a tool.  To prove a point, I humbly share that I am getting a lot of compliments.  The best part?  All I am doing is applying what I am learning from Annette with existing clothes, jewelry, and makeup.
I really believe that the style tools I now have can be used strategically to give my business, Solutions for Impact, a competitive advantage.

Second main area I help my clients with:

What do you have in your closet that is already working and what are the missing gaps?

Hannah had two black pants, one navy legging style and one red trouser.

TIP! Add an additional neutral to Hannah's wardrobe. We are adding a camel/latte' color straight leg pants and blue tone in the jacket. The latte' and blue will go beautifully with her existing accent colors of teal, red and coral.

LATTE' PANTS

LATTE' PANTS

Hannah:

In advance, Annette asked me for the names of stores where I like to shop. I really appreciated this since it reinforces what she says about honoring her clients, which also means honoring their price points.
From working in my closet and asking detailed questions, Annette knows exactly what I like and dislike about clothes including look, fit, material, pattern, etc.
She wowed me again by going shopping in advance and putting clothes for me to consider/try on hold. This made it so efficient and easy.
I loved the clothes she picked - they were absolutely "me."  There was no pressure to buy at any point (she doesn't get a commission or kickback from any stores).
As I tried various items, she quickly learned then taught me which aspects work or don't work for me.
She explained how to buy items keeping in mind the existing clothes I have and my personal signature colors.  This way, I continue to expand the number of outfits I can make without needing a large amount of clothes.
Now when I go shopping on my own, I can easily look at an item and know if it will be flattering or not, as well as how many more outfits I can make with it.
Like every session, I left energized and excited for the next one.

TIP!  We found a pant at Talbots, a slimmer leg that fits her body type. She purchased latte' and navy - great basics that will work well with her earth red jacket and latte' sweater.  *If you have slimmer legs - stay away from curvy style

Part three of the process. Is your story congruent with how you're currently dressing?

What story do you want to tell with an important business interaction ...creative, growth, supportive, organized?

Do you have outfits that support your desire to "feel and look like a million bucks"?

Do you need to get rid of clothing in your closet because you're not who you were 5, 10 years ago?

Do you need to add additional pieces to up-level your image?

I truly believe that Annette already "gets" me and am really looking forward to our next session together.~ Hannah
